BRANDING & WAYFINDING

California Hall

Project Description

California Hall at UC Davis began as a project starting in June 2016 and represents the campus’s first significant addition of classroom space in more than a decade. During Winter 2019, it was open to the public for lectures, meetings, study spaces, and more. As a project, we created a signage system for the brand new hall that lacked signages.  *This project is just a concept.

This project was a student-created project by myself and Anatta Souvannarath. Designed as an active learning space, this hall’s signage system incorporates the celebration of the University. We designed the signages with the theme of celebrating UC Davis’ milestones, the space will act as not only a learning space but also a teaching space. Using both a visual identity and signage system, this project aims to inform students through design, the proud moments that UC Davis holds in their history.
